Three blasts that took place today on Sukhumvit 71, a busy area in Bangkok, are being investigated by Thai authorities.

The cause of the blasts is not immediately clear and there have been five injuries, no death has been reported. The blasts reportedly occurred 100 yards apart.

Local media has shown footage of an injured man lying on the pavement, reporting that he was carrying explosives. Media has also claimed that an identification card found in a bag nearby indicated Iranian descent. The person reportedly threw grenades at the police in a bid to escape after a blast at his rented house, injuring four others.

Indians travelling to Bangkok and those living in the city are advised to take appropriate precautions
